G. Hagmeier opens a claim for $175,- 000 damages before J. A. McNevin, K.C., provincial drainage referee. Mr. Hagmeier, who holds several thousand acres of farm land in the basin of the Aux Sauble River, is suing the townships of McGillivray, Bosanquet, Stephen, East Williams. West Williams and Hay and the Town of Parkhill. The writ was issued originally in December, 1945. Enormous scope of the inquiry has required more than a year in preparation.
