Ladies’ Aid Meeting „ | The Ladies’ Aid of Zion Lutheran Church entertained the Ladies’ Aid of Zurich Lutheran Church to a Valentine supper on Thursday eve ning. About eighty-five guests and members sat down to tables taste fully decorated in Valentine col ors. The committee in charge of the supper consisted of Mrs. Add. Tieman, Mrs. T. Hopcroft and Mrs. Wm. Haugh. Later in the evening a program consisting of musical numbers and a play entitled “The Dashwood Uplift Society” was pre sented. The program jwas under the direction of Mrs. E- G. HENSALL Queen Brooder StoveMiss Hattie 'Sutherland was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital, London, on Saturday suffering from nasal hem- morages. Miss Catherine McEwen, of Hen sail, had the misfortune to fall at her home on Saturday. She was tak en to 'St. Joseph’s Hospital, London, by ambulance and X-rays revealed a fractured hip and fractured arm. Miss Violet McClymont had the misfortune to fall on the slippery road near the post office last week and in so doing fractured a small bone in her ankle. She was attend ed by Dr. Goddard and X-rays were ■taken by Dr. Doyle, This is the sec ond X-ray Miss McClymont 'has had inside of six months, having recent ly fractured her arm. Dies in Chicago Hospital Mrs. Agnes Farquhar received word of the death of her son Gerald who passed away in a Chicago Hos pital on Wednesday, February 5th. Surviving is 'his widow and one son, Robert, Chicago, his mother and two 'brothers, Morris and John, of Hensail. Mr. John Kaiser •Mr. John Kaiser, well-known in Hensall and surrounding district, passed away suddenly at his home in the early hours of Tuesday morn ing. Mr. and Mrs. Kaiser have been residents of Hensall for the past number of years moving here from Detroit. Mr. Kaiser was widely known around Brucefield where lie operated a blacksmith shop for many years. Surviving are his widow, . 3 sons, Earl, of Hensall, Ben of Chic ago and Jack in the (Southern States, one sister, Mrs. Sharp of Seaforth. Funeral arrangements are not com pleted. Mrs. J. O. Bell Passes in Goderich Mrs. J. C. Bell, widow of the late J. C. Bell, of Hensall, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. James Morris in (Goderich on Sun day. Formerly Jane Taylor, the de ceased was Well-known and highly respected resident of this district for many years. She :had been in ill health for several months and re ceived a fractured hip when the car in which she whs riding on the way to the hospital for treatment skid ded. Surviving is one son Andrew Goderich, and three daughters, Mrs B. Hymn 436 was sung and the meeting closed with the Mizpah Benediction, after which a social time was spent in games and contests.
