K. Crocker entertained eight friends of their son, Harry In honor of his fourteenth birthday, A theatre party was held followed by lunch at the home. On Friday evening last Mr. and Mrs. Crocker entertained a number of friends of their daughter, Anne in celebra­ tion of hei' 12 th birthday. Her Sunday School teacher, Mrs. J. Hubert Jones and members of the class presented Anne with a lovely wallet. Games and contests were) enjoyed followed by refreshments with birthday cake and all the trimmings. The president Stella South- cott, opened the meeting with all repeating “At The Gate of The Year” followed by the Lord’s Prayer. Minutes and roll call were followed by reports from the vari­ ous secretaries. Mrs. Elva Coates then took charge of the meeting! The scripture reading in three parts was taken by Ella Bailey, Stella Taylor and Bernice Cann. Prayer by Olive Prior. Shirley and Lorna Taylor played a piano duet. The study book on India was tak­ en by Jean Mountstephen, Vera Fraser and Alice Handford, Verna Coates and Muriel Sweet. Alice Sturgis sang a solo and Avis Cud- more read the Indian version of the 23rd Psalm.
