Quite a large number assembled in the Kirkton United Church Mon­ day evening, the first of the mid­ week services that are being held at Kirkton, Anderson- and Mount Pleasant with Rev. Morrison Sellar of Glenmount United Church, Tor­ onto, as guest speaker. Rev, G. ,W. Minielly, of Monkton, read thq, les­ son and took the devotional part. This was a very inspiring service. The theme for this service was “The Crusade for Christ and His Kingdom:” ' • Pension 'Fund Speaker Mr. Geo. Jefferson, of Clinton, was the speaker at the James St. United church Sunday morning and in a very forceful manner outlined the need in connection with the present campaign to raise three and a half million dollars to augment the -Pension Fund of the church.
