Woods was guest speaker and took as his topic “Christ Before Pilot.” Mission Circle Meeting The regular monthly meeting oi the Thames Road Mission Circle met at the home of Elsie and Agnes Bray on Saturday afternoon, April 20th at ,2.3'Qi pan. The meeting opened with hymn 87 followed by •Scripture by Elsie Bray. wdS then discussed and yarn given out for knitting for the June bale. Eleanor Dawson and Jean Canp were chosen as delegates for the PrOsbyterial which is to be held in Wingham April 25. Collection Was taken and followed with hymn 86, Betty Mair then gave a reading, Dalores Allison took the topic. Agnes Bray favoured with an in­ strumental followed by a reading by Jean Cann. The address was read by the class pres.- ident, Mrs. Roy Ratz, and Mrs. Arthur Amy, on behalf of the class, made the presentation. Mrs. Haist made a very suitable reply. Rev. Trueblood was in charge' of the service and Rev. Reuber gave the address. A large crowd attended. Evangelical Churchy News The Sunrise Service held Evangelical Church on morning at‘6.45 a.m., was attended. Rev. Trueblood delivered the message. The rite of baptism was adminis­ tered at the regular Sunday morn­ ing service when the following children received baptism: Janet Marie Morlock, Eric Laverne Fink- belner, Ronald Walter Weber, Wayne Gordon Ratz, Larry Ervin Ratz and Orville ILeroy Wein. ' The evening service took the form of a recognition and award service for returned servicemen of the Church. Twenty-eight gifts were presented to the returned men and one nursing sister. A num­ ber of the recipients were unable to be present, and their gifts were received by members of their fam­ ilies. Owing to the Evangelical Confer­ ence being held in Kitchener this week the evening service will be withdrawn on Sunday.
