HIBBERT DAIRY PATRONS HEAR ANNUAL REPORTS The annual meeting of the Hib­ bert Co-Operative Dairy Association Ltd., was held Friday afternoon in the” gtaffa township hall- (Brock Monteith, auditor, gave a detailed report on the financial statement of the association. The following figures are taken from the auditor^’ report for 1945: ’Total pounds of butter manufactured, 355,926, bringing the patrons 100,059.84 if or butterfat. They also .received $'28,487.75 government subsidy and a bonus of iy2 cents a pound but­ terfat, totalling $4,273, bringing the total, receipts ‘to patrons of $132,820.59. W, FENWICK, DIES Mrs; William Fenwick died at her home, 733 Nelson street, Lon­ don, on 'Monday following a lengthy illness. The former Cora Davidson, she was born in Blanshard Township. She .moved to London 35 years ago, A member of the congregation of Hyatt Avenue United Church, Mrs. Fenwick was president of the Daisy Bible Class for many years. Besides her husband she is sur­ vived by her mother, Mrs. Geor­ gina Davidson, Zurich; two sisters. Mrs.. Walter Amos and Mrs. Julia Dickie, both of London, and five brothers. Thomas, Leonard and Vernon, of London; William, of Zurich, and Charles Davidson, of Vancouver. The body is resting at the Evans funeral home, Hamilton road, where funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. Rev. G. How­ ard King, pastor of Hyatt Avenue United Church, will conduct the service assisted by Rev. Max. Parr, of 'Galt. Interment will be-in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Hobbs Taylor, M.P.P.,’ for Hijron, requesting him to use his influence to see that the provisions of the Act .are carried out' and that no authorities if or sale of intoxicat­ ing liquors be issued and no exten­ sion Of the present authorities be allowed after March 31. The meeting also passed a resolu­ tion to ’Rt. Hon. W. L. Mackenzie King, requesting him to prohibit the use of grain for the manufac­ ture olf beverages in Canada. Dr. Dunlop,, of Exeter, was present and gave a very interesting address on "Cancler" which was .much appreciated. A delightful lunch was served |by the ladies. The next regular meeting of the farm forum will be held, Monday evening, March 4th at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Major -Baker. The meeting closed by singing "God .Save ,The King." SCHOOL AREA. MEETING Mr. Gordon .Young, inspector of Public Schools for West Middlesex, addressed a joint meeting of school sections one, three and four of Mc­ Gillivray township on the advant­ ages of a township school area, a vote taken showed two sections in favor of such a plan. At the close of the meeting Mr. Young present­ ed a Certificate to S.’S. No. 4 (Marr’s) for the school having made the greatest improvement in the (grounds (for 1945 in McGilliv­ ray township.
