Mr. Clarke made a very suitable reply and all sang ‘‘For He’s a Jolly Good Fellow.” Old time songs were sung as “O Canada” and ‘‘Home, Sweet Home.” A social half hour was spent. Formerly Maria Jane Butt she was born on the second concession of ; Usborne near Exeter. Before mov­ ing to Hensall over thirty years ago the family resided on a farm near Kippen. Mr. Dinsdale pre­ deceased her about twenty years. Deceased was a member of the Hensall United church. .Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Ila Wood and Mrs. Ida Callis, of Santa Bar­ bara, Calif., Mrs. Hannah Vermil- yea, of Glendale, Calif., and Mrs. Alda 'Simmons, of Hensall. Mrs. Hannah Taylor, who recently moved to Exeter is a sister. Mrs. Wood has been with her mother for sev­ eral weeks. A public funeral serv- spent New Years with friends in Zurich.
