Former Resident Writes
I Mrs. Wm. Fraser, of town, is in
receipt of a letter from an old
friend and a former resident of
Exeter, Mrs. Alice Blake, of Guild
ford, 'Surrey, Eng. Mrs. Fraser sent
her a copy of the Times-Advocate
a few weeks ago and Mrs. Blake
stated that she had received it and
read it from end to end and by the
time she was through with it, did
not know whether she was at home
in Exeter or in -Guildford. She said
that she was unable to get enough
to eat as she could not live on
I green stuff. They get a small piece
of cheese, enough for one meal, and
3 ounces of bacon for a week. She
hadn’t had an egg for a week and
goes to a cafe for dinner three days
a week. Allan Fraser had been to
j see her when he was on two week’s
{ leave in the summer and she was
pleased to see him.
