Anderson returned last week .after a pleasant holiday av Bracebridge. Sgt. Pilot Norman Hannigan, a member of the R.C.A.F. reserve, has left for London to attend West­ ern University. Pickard, left Wednesday for his home. Miss Marion Cowen and Miss ILaurene Zurbrigg, graduates-of the Exeter High 'School, left this week for London to attend Western Uni­ versity. Winston Shapton, son of Mr. and Mrs Wilfred Shapton, of Stephen, a graduate of the Exeter Hign School .left Tuesday to attend the O.A.C. at Guelph. Ted Buswell, recently released from the R.C.A.F., .after serving overseas, has left for Toronto to take a course in electrical engineer­ ing at the University. Mr, A. Z. Hicks, who visited with Mr. and Mrs. Jos. May and otner relatives in this district 'and at At-' wood and Munro, has returned to hig home at Okotoks, Alta, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Taylor left Monday for London where Grant will attend Western ■ University and resume his studies that were interrupted during the war. Mr. and Mrs. S. Fulcher, of Brandon. Manitoba, who have been visiting their daughter, Mrs. O. S. MacNaughton, for the past two weeks will return home on Friday. Mrs, Wm. Chambers has resign­ ed her position as chief operator at the Bell Telephone office and She is being succeeded by Miss Do'ris Morrison who comes to Exeter from Petrolia. Donald Traquair and Helen Snell have returned to (London to resume their studies at Western, Donald has been working during the sum­ mer with Tiis father in the hard­ ware business. Mr, Chester Coultis, accompanied by Mrs. Coultis and Mr, and Mrs. G. W. Morley, of Toronto, spent the forepart of the week calling on old friends and relatives in Exeter and vicinity, while on vacation. Mr, John O’Connor and his bride, of Detroit, visited with hig grand- fnother, Mrs, Rd, Davis, the fore­ part of the week. John spent three and a half years in England with the V.S. army and is now awaiting his discharge. Thursday with E. He was visiting in London while on vacation. his mother, Mrs. Muriel of town, and is now a stud- fhe Exeter H.S. L. M. Vincent and son Bob, Mr. Frank Down, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Wood, Rev. and Mrs. C, W. Down returned recently from a mo­ tor trip to Sauli Ste.‘ Marie. While there, they were guests of Wm. Wood's sister and brother7in-law, Mr. and Mrs. H. N. Anderson.
