The Senior Women’s Institute commenced their meetings for the coming season in the form of a pot­ luck supper at the home of Mrs. John E. McEwen with Mrs. A. Oit as co-hostess. CENTRALIA The W.M.S., of Carmel Presbyterian Church, was held on Thursday af­ ternoon in the school-room of the church with Mrs. Minnie Sangster presiding and opened by singing hymn, “Peace, Perfect Peace,” fol­ lowed by prayer by Mrs. Sangster. Mrs. C. Hudson read the Scripture lesson and the roll call was answer­ ed with “Peace” as the text word. {Arrangements were made to enter­ tain the Home Helpers on Oct. 4th. Mrs. J. Paterson sang a solo en­ titled, “God Will Take You,” accompanied by Miss Minnie Reid at the piano. Mrs. Hannah Workman gave an interesting re­ port on* the Presbyterial meeting held in Knox Presbyterian Church, Goderich, on Sept. 11th.
