Orr and family spent the week-end holidaying at Dresden, Windsor and Detroit. Mrs. Ann Berry, who has been a resident of the village for 40 years, has taken up residence in Toronto. Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Drysdale re­ turned home on Saturday from a month’s trip in Western Canala. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Manns, of Toronto, visited over the holiday with the former’s mother, Mrs. T. Manns. Mr. and Mrs. John Farquhar and Graham have moved into the dwell­ ing they purchased from Mrs. Ann Berry. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Gould, of To­ ronto, Miss Olive Walker, R.N., of Albany Hospital, New York, and Mr. Donald Walker, of Toronto, spent the holiday week-end with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Walker. Rev. and Mrs. Ferguson, Rodney and Judith, of Wiarton, moved into the Presbyterian manse here on Tuesday. Rev. Ferguson will be in­ ducted into the charge of Garmin Presbyterian Church on Friday eve­ ning, Sept. 7th, at 8 p.m. Every member and adherent of the con­ gregation are cordially invited to attend this induction service which will be followed by a reception the schoolroom of the church. Death of Mrs. Melvina Sharrow Mrs. Melvina Sharrow, a former resident of Grand Bend, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edith Mousseau in Zurich on Monday, Sept. 3, 1945, after one week’s illness. She has resided CAN there for the past two years and was in her 90th year. She was a member of the *Gospel Hall at Bend. Mrs. Sharrow was twice.
