Mrs. Lome McNaughton spent the week-end with her daughters, Misses Helen and Mae McNaugh ton in Toronto. Mrs. Harvey McLarnon received a telegram on Monday from her husband, Pte. Harvey McLarnon, of the Royal Canadian Mechanized Engineers that he arrived in Hali fax on the lie de France. Aftei* a 3'0-day furlough, Pte. McLarnon will report foi’ duty in the Pacific war theatre. During i the evening a presentation of a din ing room suite was made to the bride and groom. Dancing was en joyed until the early morning hours. Arnold Circle 'Picnic The Arnold Circle of Carmel Presbyterian Church held a most successful picnic at the home of Mrs. Roy Bell on Wednesday after noon.
