Pryde, of Windsor, vis­ ited on Friday last with Mr. and Mrs, Chas. Aidworth and Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Pryde. Mrs. Pryde spent a couple of weeks visiting in St. Marys before home. Dr. Borden and Miss Jean Exeter and at week-end. Dr. Sanders has been an interne at Victoria Hospital for the past year and is now leaving for Brockville where he will be at­ tached to the Canadian Army Med­ ical Corps. Headquarters assure us that our work is by no means finished. A full program for the autumn is be­ ing planned. In the meantime our new quota consists of 10'0 pair ser­ vice socks; 200 girls’ 'combinations, 100i girls’ bloomers; 200 girls’ undervests; 50 boys’ shirts. The next packing day July 13. There will be no packing. No Blood Donor Clinic held in July but there will early in August. The next Executive meeting will be on July 16. James Street Afternoon Auxiliary The June meeting of the After­ noon Auxiliary was held in the schoolroom of the church on Thurs­ day, June 14th. It was the usual yearly meeting for entertaining the Baby Band and their mothers. Mrs. V. Armstrong opened the '.meeting with ' ‘ _ 59 0. Scripture readings concerning little Mrs. stressed that we should all covet the simple faith of little children. Mrs. Cook then led in prayer. Mrs. J. M. Southcott then took the chair and gave out hymn 594. This was followed by a recitation from Marie Hodgson, also one by Janice Hamil- I ton, both reciting very clearly. Mrs. J. .Hodgerf then sang “I’m trust­ ing my all in His hand.” Collection was taken. Then Mrs. C. Frayne, the Baby Band superintendent, con­ ducted those graduating from the Baby Band to the Mission Band, through the little .gates to the larger seats. The children were then. taken to the church lawn for games and Mrs. Rev. McLean ad­dressed the mothers, in the school­ room. She laid much stress on the training pf the little ones in the home emphasizing the value of Christian training. The Senior W.A. of Trivitt Mem­ orial Church held their final meet­ ing of the season Tuesday evening in the Church Parish Hall. There were 11 members and.five visitors present. The bale for the Indian Blood Reserve at Cardston, Alta., was on display. The meeting open­ ed with a hymn and prayer led by the president, Mrs. Vernon Hey­ wood. Rev. M, A. Hunt offered a prayer for peace. After the roll call, committees and reports, a re­ port of the recent deanery held in Goderich was given by the presi­ dent. At the deanery me.eting the n,eed for missionaries, doctors and nur&es in the Mission field in In­ dia was stressed. The meeting closed with Benediction by Rev. .Hunt af­ ter which games were played and a dainty supper served. A Littld Helper’s party will be held in mid­ July. Arrangements to be made later. Mr. Duncan McDougall, Kingston attended the funeral of his broth­ er, the late John McDougall, of Hibbert, on Saturday last and call­ ed on friends in Exeter.
