Maclsaac han returned from visiting friends in Detroit, Mr. Jos. W. Lawson suffered a stroke on Saturday last while on his way up town; He was assisted to his home by Mr. H. K. Eilber and since that time, fined to his home, many friends hope recovery to health. The W.M.S- Convention of the Evangelical Church was held on Wednesday and Thursday of last week at Mildmay. The Alert Mission Band will meet in the schoolroom of the church on Sunday morning at 10.30 a.m. All members are requested to be present. WOODHAM Several from here attended Wha-“ len and Kirkton Anglican Church services on Sunday last, it being their Sunday School anniversary services. Our annual Sunday School pic­ nic will be held Saturday, June 16, at Stratford Park There were no services held at this .church on Sunday last, owing to the neighboring anniversaries and there will no church service held here next Sunday, June 10th, owing to Zion West’s anniversary. It being on this circuit. The sympathy of the community goes out to Mr. and Mrs. French and family, of Whalen, in the pas­ sing of their son, Harvey on Wed­ nesday morning of last week.
