Mr. Nelson Sheere, who Is ill in Victoria Hospital, London, under went an operation Thursday of last week and is getting on as well as can be expected. Cpl. J.B. Creech and Mrs. Creech of Aylmer, spent the week-end with the former’s mother in Exeter and with Mrs. Creech’s mother, Mrs. B. Hicks, of Centralia. Miss Marie Heywood, of London, accompanied by Mrs. Whitehead and two children spent the week end with the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Heywood. A number 'from Exeter were in London Sunday and attended the evening service at Calvary United church when the minister, Rev. D. McTavish, gave a recital of the book “The Robe.” Mr, C. J. Luker accompanied his daughter, Mrs. J. W. Kent, to her home in Woodstock on Tuesday. Mrs. Kent was here for several weeks owing to the illness and sub sequent death of her mother. 1 An item in last week’s issue stated that Mr. Olin Hooper was ill in Vic toria Hospital. He has been 111 for about three weeks. Mr. Hooper was a resident of Exeter during his early life and attended the Exeter school. After play ing different games, Mrs. Karrison served an elaborate lunch, Mrs, Leslie Coates, who has been visiting 'with her* parents, Mr, and Mrs, Fred Ellerington, returned to liar home in Lfstowel.
