The meet­ ing came to order with the singing of hymn 541 followed by prayer by Mr. MacLean. Shirley Mason read the Scripture taken from Mathew 5: 1-12. The devotional part of the meeting was closed by singing hymn 745. The balance of the eve­ ning was spent by playing crokin- ole, Lois Sweitzer and Geneva El­ liott getting high and low scores respectively. Hot dogs and coffee were served. The James Street Young People’s Union was held in the church base­ ment on Monday evening, Jan. 29th at 8 o’clock. The president, Irene Sweet opened the meeting with a call to worship followed by hymn 197 and prayer. The roll was called and the lninutes of the last meeting read and adopted. There was a short business session and it was decided that an interdenomina­ tional meeting would be the church basement on evening February 4th, at which all Young People other churches are cordially invit­ ed. The meeting was then turned over to Ardys McFalls. Her theme being, Love that knows no limits. Hymn 146 was sung and Marforie Richards led in prayer. No. 7 Hay held their meeting January 22nd, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Deichert, Jr., on the Blind Line, to discuss the subject “We all have something to learn.” The meeting was under the chair­ manship of Carl Haberer, and everyone present agree that there is more information on agriculture for farmers available than most farmers are aware of. The forum at the same time celebrated Mr. Deichert’s 50th birthday with him and a birthday cake topped with 5 0 candles was served during the luncheon period. S.S. No. 3 Farm Forum S.S. No. 3 Farm Forum met at the home of Mr. and Mrs, Asa Pen- hale on Monday, Jan. 29 th with a splendid attendance.
