The Qeutralia hockey squadron went to the Exeter arena last Thursday night on their third mis sion with the Huron-Middlesex army squadron • as theii’ target. When reports were gathered after the Flyers hpd returned to base it was ascertained that heavy dam ages were inflicted with a score of 11-2. The Centralia pucksters were far superior to that of the enemy as formation after formation swooped in on Riggin who was defending the Huron-Middlesex nets to bomb furiously. Bagnall Back Bagnall, one of last year's on the championship team posted back to No. 9 and was at the scene of action once again. Al though it was his first trip out this season Bill did a good job to help bolster the defence as well as to lead several dangerous runs at the target, Jimmy Forsythe and Wally Wil son did the most damage, each get ting three direct "hits and assisting on three more. Tony Hawkes got two. The above mentioned trio each hit the target during the first run with Faulkner retaliating for the enemy. In the second Stage of the battle Forsythe laid two more in the ene my nets with Hawkes, Shaw, and Sherritt adding three more. In the final session Wilson’s centrated attacks gave him goals, Forsythe broke away down the left boards to set Wally up on the first one and the second was a smart solo sortie. The game was quite evenly contested until the middle of the third period when Goderich broke loose to score five goals, The first period was a fast, puck slinging affair which ended up with an even count of 2-2. Southcott, in the Exeter nets, was hit ip. the mouth with the puck in the latter half -of the first period, receiving a cut on the upper lip which re quired three stitches. He was re placed by Watson. Newcombe Scores Four In the second period Goderich scored four goals tq Exeter’s two, In the third Wilson caught the net for Exeter that brought the score to 6-5. However the Goderich team, taking advantage of Exeter's penal ties, went on a jamboree to hit the twine five times before the final bell. Newcombe was the outstand ing star for Goderich, scoring four of the winner’s goals. Wilson and Hayter both got two for Exeter, with Whyte getting one. The Juveniles took a 19-2 troun cing Tuesday night in Seaforth at the hands of the .Seaforth Juveniles. The locals certainly had a bad night of it. Hardly anything they did was right. The only high spot of the game as far as the locals were concerned was a smart solo rush up the ice by Hayter who drew out Swan and dumped the disc into the net. H. Dated at Exeter, Jam 11th, Fire The local Midget hockey team played their first -game of the sea son at Seaforth Saturday afternoon. They lost by a score of 8-1, but this is not surprising as they had only one practice in which to organ ize and have a work-out. It was understood locally that there were to be no Juveniles take part in the Midget games and Sea forth had three on their line-up. When the locals get sufficient practice they should be able to give Seaforth much tougher Opposition. Ross Tuckey and Doug Fletcher handled the team. Exeter held the Seaforth team scoreless until late in the first per iod when three were tallied before the bell sounded. In the second Seaforth tallied three more. Early in the third Exeter Scored its first goal and Seaforth scored two more before the period ended. EXETER — Goal, ''Waghorn; de fence, Preszcator, F.
