Services in Carmel Presbyterian
Church on Sunday were conducted
by Mr. Young, a student of Knox
College, . Toronto, who delivered
fine discourses. Mrs. J. W. Bon-
thron sang a solo.

over the week-end at the home of
their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jas.

Mrs. A. R. Campbell, who is
leaving with her husband andefam-
ily to take up residence in Guelph,
was presented with a coffee table
by the. Ladies’ Aid of Carmel Pres
byterian Church, of which she was
a member.
There will be a broom ball game
on the Hensall Skating Rink on
Monday nite, Jan. 2 2nd, between
the Firemen and the Town Men
(without skates). This will be fol
lowed by a hour of skating to mus
ic. All proceeds for war work.
There will be a draw for the lucky
ticket, prize to be a five-dollar War
Savings Certificate.
The time is approaching to again
ship boxes to the 'Hensall boys
who are serving overseas, this wor
thy project being attended to by
the Hensall Women’s Institute in
conjunction with the War Service
Committee. Donations for this fund
are URGENTLY needed. Local and
rural citizens may leave the1"” con
tributions with Miss Gladys Luker.

Day of 1945 especially those who
