ed over to the Exeter Red Cross
during 1944. The following is a
list of what has been made and
shipped this year: 69 pairs service
socks, 4 pairs 18-in. socks, 20 T.N.
sweaters, 59 V.N. sweaters, 28 R.N.
sweaters, 23 pair gloves, 2 2 pair
mitts, 24 helmets, 1 tuck-in, 40
toe caps, 23 pair seaman’s boots,
8 Scarves, 4 pair hurricane mitts,
6 pair double palm mitts, 156 wash
cloths, 66 large quilts, 9 crib quilts,
coats, 15 pair shorts, 13 jump
dresses, 10 slips, 6 pair pyjamas,
dresses, 7 shirts, 5 pair pants,
blouses, 3 refugee dresses.

nephew, Charlie Morley, Who was
killed in action overseas on Dec,
13 th, This is the Second son of Mr.
and Mrs, Oscar Morley, of Monet*
Ville, Ont., to be killed while serv
ing overseas. Bruce Who went over
seas lit August of last year, paid
the Supreme sacrifice in October.
Two other sons, Billy and Allan, are
also in the service.
