Hamilton. Word has reached Hensail of the death of J, P. Dent, of Bradford, who died in the General Hospital at Toronto. I-Iis widow is the former .Eva Stapleton, of Hensail. W. C. Mr. and Mrs. John Passmore, of Hensail, received a telegram on Monday from their son, Flight Lieutenant Kenneth Passmore, who had just arrived safely in New York from overseas. Kenneth has com­ pleted his tour of operational flights and is now on leave. Owing to the public reception, be­ ing held in the Town Hall on Wed­ nesday evening. Dec. 6th, in honor of the Hensall boys who have re­ turned from overseas, the social evening which the Wohelo Class of the United Church had previously planned for this same date, been postponed indefinitely. Mr. passed an illness of nearly a year. Mrs. Jas, Ballantyne. wife of Jas. Ballantyne, former M. L. A., passed away Sunday evening after an ill­ ness of four days, suffered by a stroke. The deceased was the for­ mer Mary McKellar, of iCromarty and was in her 7Sth year. She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband and one daughter, Janet, also a number of-brothers and sis­ ters. One son. James, predeceased her earlier this year.
