The death of Ebenezer Forsythe,
well known farmer, of Tuckersmith
Township, occurred Monday in De
troit, where he had gone last montu
with Mrs. Forsythe to spend the
winter with their daughter, Mrs.
Thomson Scott. He was in his 77th
year. Born in Tuckersmith, he had
farmed all his life in that township
and was a member of St. Andrew’s
United Church, Kippen. His wife
and a son and daughter survive,
John Forsythe and Mrs. Scott, both
of Detroit. There are also two
brothers and a sister, Alexander
and T.N., of British Columbia and
Kippen, respectively; Mrs. Thomas
Consitt, Seaforth. The funeral serv- with

The Main St. W.M.S. met in the
basement of the church, Thursday
afternoon, November 16tli. The
meeting opened with hymn 298 and
the Lord's prayer in unison. The
treasurer’s report was given. Extra
m;oney is asked for over the alloca
tion on account of inflation in
China. The December meeting is to
be held at Mrs. Medd’s. Lunch to
be served. A lunch Committee was
appointed. Mrs. Layton gave a
talk on the study, book. An excellent
report was given by Eva Penrose
of the Presbyterial .in Kippen. Mrs.
Penrose had charge of the worship
service and the meeting was closed.
