Lion’s Club Appreciate Splendid Cooperation The Lions Club undertaking, of Britain’s Bombed Children, with the approval of the entire munity. Each of the villages rounding Exeter as well as the ployees of the Exeter Canning lory, accepted as their objective care of one child in Britain for year. These objectives, in cases, were reached and ixx some cases oversubscribed. Enough mon ey was subscribed in Exeter alone to care for six children for one year. The rural school sections and some individuals each made -commend able contributions All in all, through your help, we are able to care for twenty children in Britain for one year from donations and sale of tickets. The frolic, also, was a great suc- ces. The games were all well pat ronized and from this revenue we will be able to carry on our local work, caring for the blind and crippled children and make dona tions to the Red Cross and other worthy causes. We want to thank the Canadian Legion, the Exeter Band, the Clowns, the Booth from Kirkton and all those who worked in the booths and helped in any way with this, our best frolic, in history.
