W. F. Beavers. Mr, Lome Shewfelt, of Toronto, representing the Ontario Temper­ ance Federation, conducted the service in James St. United Church on Sunday morning and was the speaker at Main St. Church in the evening. Mr. Shewfelt is a young man and gave an interesting and effective address. Contributions were received for the temperance fund. The many friends of Mrs. Irwin Armstrong, who is staying at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry McCreath at Kincardine, will be sorry to leam of her continued ill-I ness.
