The Municipal Council of

quests all ratepayers whose proper
ties join Township roads -to cut the
weeds on the roadsides adjacent to
their properties and to use a mower
where possible. It is difficult to
secure day labour and cutting the
weeds is* necessary, not only as a
control measure but to ' prevent

Cooler days ahead
Master Pat Beavers returned to
his home in Toronto after a two
weeks’ visit with his grandparents,
Mr. and Mrs. B. W. F. Beavers.
Mr, Lome Shewfelt, of Toronto,
representing the Ontario Temper
ance Federation, conducted the
service in James St. United Church
on Sunday morning and was the
speaker at Main St. Church in the
evening. Mr. Shewfelt is a young
man and gave an interesting and
effective address. Contributions
were received for the temperance
fund.
The many friends of Mrs. Irwin
Armstrong, who is staying at the
home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry
McCreath at Kincardine, will be
sorry to leam of her continued ill-I
ness. Miss May Armstrong is still
caring for her mother.
