Acknowledges Parcel
I was very pleased to receive your
parcel and letter of May 18th. They
arrived two days ago, but as so of
ten is the case, duties have inter
fered with answering for them soon
er. The contents of the parcel were
in perfect condition excepting the
cookies which took a beating, but
we didn’t waste a crumb as they are
too much of a novelty these days.
The homemade candy was lovely
and you may thank the ladies res
ponsible on our behalf. The maple
sugar was a bit of old home and
. almost made us homesick. Around
