Aliss Birdine AIcFalls, nurse-in­ training in Stratford, visited over the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Airs. A. AIcFalls, at Biddulph. Miss Hilda Rader returned to her position in London on Sunday evening. Air. and Mrs. Leonard Prang, of Zurich, took her down. Mr. and Airs. Wesley Lamport have disposed of their residence in London, and are returning to Exetei and will make her home with Mrs. I. Armstrong. Mr. Stanley Walter, of Mt. A group of about forty relatives gathered at the home of Lloyd O. Rader to celebrate his birthday. It was a surprise to Mr. Rader. The evening was spent in progressive crokinole. Mrs. W. E, Winer spent the week­ end with Dr. and Mrs. D. C. AIcLagen of London and C. F, Chambers, and also called W. Dinney. Air. and Airs, motored to Toronto Sunday where Mrs. Southcott will visit with her sister, Airs. Delight Gordon. Mrs. Southcott is improving slowly from her illness and stood the trip fine. Mrs. J. H. Neil, who has spent the winter in Toronto, is visiting at the home of her daughter, Mr. Mrs. J. H. Jones. Mrs. Neil •accompanied to Exeter by Mrs. kinson, of Toronto, who spent forepart of the week here. Provost Alvin Rowe, of Camp Borden spent the week-end at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Rowe. Mrs. Alvin Rowe spent a week here recuperating from a recent operation for appendicitis>( She returned to her home in Sarnia on Sunday. Mrs, Webster received word of the recent arrival overseas of her husband, Wing Commander Eric Webster. Mr, Webster was second in command at No. 9 S.F.T.S. Cent­ ralia, and was posted overseas on a special course, Mrs, Webster re­ turned to Exeter last week after visiting at her home in Ottawa. Fit. Lieut, and Mrs. Southam, who were residents of Exeter for over a year and a half, spent the week-end with Dr. and Mrs. E, S. Steiner. Fit Lieut.. The president, Miss Helen Penhale, opened the meeting with a hymn followed by the business. It was decided to have a supper meeting­ in June. Airs. A. Francis District Manager “Toward an Understanding of the Church of England in Canada,” was the subject of a most Interesting paper given by Canon James, of Kirkton at the regular' meeting of the South Huron Ministerial associa­ tion on Monday afternoon last. The meeting was held at the home of Rev. -and Mrs. Merriam in Centralia with a splendid attendance of local clergy and their wives. 1 traced the history of from the days of origin the Reformation period to the pres­ ent day, dwelling in particular on the history of the Canada Church from 1790 onwards.
