Now fifty years have watched them pass
Upon their happy way.

To live and
Each other’s joys and fears.
Then time went on as time must do
And brought them new found joy
As Mr. Stork made calls on them
And left a girl and boy,
Yes, Hector came to take their name
Verda the daughter fair,
Gave them a fuller sweeter life
To have, this happy pair.
They worked and lived upon a farm
At Usborne, Ontario
That first ten years, then later
To Exeter they did go.
There, all these happy years they’ve lived
And known the townfolk good
While our old James Street Methodist Church
Supplied their spiritual food.
Now forty years and more nave passed
Those years have quickly flown.
Verda and Hector both have wed
With families of their own.
So with three grandchildren happy
And four great .grandchildren too
With little ones to think about
Makes them feel young anew.
So this yeai' on March seventh
Our hearts will all be there '
With some expression of our love
For this grand loving pair.
Our tender thoughts and wishes
Will be with them to say
Congratulations and good health,
On their Golden Wedding Day.
“I hear you had a wresting
match with the top sergeant. What
happened?-” “I decided to surprise
him, so I jumps at him and .grabs
his wrist, and jerks his neck, like
this, and before he knew what hit
him—I’m flat on my back.”
“I shall go to your father and
ask his consent tonight, darling.
There are no grounds on which he
can throw me out, dear, are there?”
“Not in front of the house, dear
est, but there’s a flowerbed in the
rear which looks nice and soft.”

THE QUESTION BOX
Mrs. J. S. asks: How do you ren

the range?
Answer: We
fat by putting it
placing
time.
Or you may render it in the top
part of a double boiler. Pieces of
potato heated with the fat will
absorb some of the flavor and
the natural taste less strong.
Mrs. M. C. says: Since we
get as much butter as usual,
can I use to furnish Vitamin
the menus?
Answer: Vitamin A found in
butter is also found in other
sources. Serve grated raw carrots
or raw beets moistened with mayon
