Under the excellent direction of Mrs. DesJardine the teacher of the local school the scholars presented three numbers namely, a dialogue, “The Burning Pews”, a recitation entitled “Neighbors” by Grace Pick­ ering, a trio by Betty Love, Dorothy Cunnington and Rhena Pickering. A pantomine entitled “Love Lifted Me” accompanied by Mr. and Mrs.’ R. Love and Mrs. DesJardine. Reci­ tations were rendered by Joe and Cyril Vansteenkiste, Eleanor Sharpe and Grace Marie Turner. The Young People’s Union pre­ sented a Christmas play entitled “The Hidden Gift” which was much appreciated and splendidly given Mrs. Karl Guenther was the re­ cipient of thanks for the very ef­ ficient way in which she gave direc­ tion and counsel.
