McLaughlin, of Midland, is visiting with Mrs. Clara Abbott.j Church Services The special .service put on in the church on Sunday, August 4th by the Airport personnel was largely at­ tended and greatly enjoyed by all. A welcome was extended to the visi­ tors by Mr. Lloyd Hodgson. F/Lt. Moynan, the Station padre, deliver­ ed a very inspiring message. Group Captain Fullerton assisted by read­ ing the lesson. The choir, under the leadership of Mrs. G. F, Pen­ warden, was assisted by Cpl. Mary Cooper and PO. Lloyd Bullen. About 60 airmen and airwomen attended the service* Rev. Brown, of Lucan, occupied the pulpit on August 15 and the choir was assisted by Miss Helen Rowe, of Exeter. Rev. Brown will be in charge of the service again oil Sunday, August 22. On Thursday evening of last week the Primary Class of the Evangelical Sunday School held a picnic at the home of their teacher, Mrs. Ross Krueger. The evening was spent in games and sports, after which a weiner roast was much enjoyed by the class and their mothers. Mission Circle The Evangelical Mission held their August meeting on Mon­ day evening, August 9th, at the home of Mrs. Gordon Ratz. The meeting opened with the singing of the Circle Song. The business was dealt with, minutes and roll call were read, and reports of the Sewing and Knitting committee were given. The pastor, Rev. M. B. Reuber, gave a very in­ teresting talk. The literary and Membership committee then took charge of the meeting. After the singing of “Anywhere With Jesus,” the Scripture reading was read by Mrs. Wm. Gaiser. A poem was given by Mrs. Irvine Ratz, followed by a song, “Sweet Hour of Prayer,” by the Committee. The Study Book chapters were given by Mrs. Alvin Finkbeiner and Miss Leila Mollard. The meeting closed with the hymn “If Jesus Goes With Me” and a poem by Mrs. Earl Haist, “A Man Can Grow.” Refreshments were served by the committee.
