Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Glass, of Thorndale, and Mrs. John Beavers, attended the funeral of the late Mrs. .Beavers on Thursday of last week. Mrs, Beavers, remaining for a time. Mr. Barry Wenger spent a few days at the week-end in Toronto and West Hill, Mrs. Robert Wenger returning from the latter place with him after spending two weeks with her father, Mr. William Martin, Mr, and Mrs. Oehm, Mervin and Gwennetlt, of Stratford; Mr, and Mrs. Carter, Mrs, Hall and family, of Clandeboye were visitors on Sun­ day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Etherington, owing to the death of Mrs. James Etherington. On Sunday a number of farmers figured that they would land the following day that time snow and rain up operation®. Phone 65, Exeter Laid to Rest i The funeral of the late Mrs. M. L. Beavers took place from her late residehce on Thursday afternoon of last week with interment in Kirkton Union cemetery. Rev. A. B. Irwin conducted the service. Mrs. Beavers, who was in her 66th year, passed away suddenly the Monday evening previous. Her maiden name was Eliza Ellen Clarke, daughter - of the late Thomas Clarke. She was born in Usborne and with Mr. Beavers moved to Exeter fourteen years ago. For a number of years she had been a partial invalid and had been con­ fined to her home, Besides her hus­ band she is survived by an only daughter, Miss Laurene, nurse-in­ training in Victoria Hospital, Lon­ don. Three brothers and two sisters also survive, David and Nelson of Usborne, Ed. of Jackson Mich., Mrs. John Simpson, of Usborne and Mrs. Wilson Hawkins, of Seaforth, the latter spending a few days here. Sixty-one nurses, the largest in the history of the school, will grad­ uate from the Victoria Hospital School of Nursing on Nriday, the graduating exercises being held at Convocation Hall.
