On Tuesday evening Mrs. Gordon Hunter was hostess to the mem­ bers of the Exeter Women’s Insti­ tute. The theme of this November meeting was ‘‘Peace, Education a n d International Relationship. After the usual opening exercises and business Rev. N. J. Woods spoke on World Relations stressing that we as W.I. members exert our influence toward democracy and not nationalism. This was a fine and very interesting address. The roll call was answered by donations of half a yard of print for refu­ gee quilts, about 15 yards in all being donated. A letter was read from War Memorial Hospital, Lon­ don, and it was decided to send $5. It was also decided that we re­ member the inmates of the Huron County Home at Christmas sending oranges and candy, bers are requested to bring tions of candy to the next ing. William, is quite ill and has been ordered to bed for two months. Mr. and Mrs. Tomlin­ son visited in Exeter during the past summer. Murray Mission Band The regular meeting cf the Mur­ ray Mission Band was held on Mon­ day with a fine attendance. Meet­ ing was opened with singing, Pur­ pose and prayer. After again sing­ ing, “Jesus Loves Me” the business of the day was dealt with. A vote of thanks was extended to Miss Murray, Hensall, for her splendid contribution to our funds and a reply was read from M. Grant, on the arrival of our parcel of scrap books, Christmas cards and hang­ ers for Christmas. We send the parcel to Halifax and it is shipped on to Trinidad. The 3rd chapter of the study book was taken by Mrs. C. Johns and Jack McKnight. The meeting was closed by singing and prayer. The next meeting will be held December Sth,
