Mrs. Penwarden pre­ sided and the meeting opened by singing one verse of the Leaf Forever” followed by Lord's Prayer in unison. Blair favored with a reading entitled “When Mother Wields the Shingle” Mrs. Penwarden gave a good report of the Convention in London. A song by the school with Mr. L. Wein, music teacher, accompanying on the piano. Miss Watkins gave an inter­ esting talk on the new study. DIED IN NORTH DAKOTA Mr. Robt. Kydd, of Usborne, has received word bf the death of his 'family and Mr. a.’ cousin, Mrs. Margaret Burgess, aged jprigden, visited Mr 77 years, a resident of Minoa, Minn. The deceased had been in poor health from a heart condition for more than two years. Her maiden name was Margaret Crawford. She was born at Kippen, March 25, 1862, and was married to James Burgess at Seaforth, on February 28, 1881. In 1892 they moved to North Dakota. The deceased is survived by two sons and one daughter, four grandchil­ dren and two great grandchildren. The deceased may be remembered ; care of her niece’, who has’been quite by some of the older residents of -- — - - Exeter as she was a half-sister the late Ed. Bissett and Exeter before the latter Winnipeg. London, her at the the tetter Come Mr. Jackson Woods, who has been ill for over two weeks was taken to Westminster Hospital, London, on Monday morning^for treatment for head injuries received in the Great War. It commenced to ca-use him great pain 22 years to the day after receiving it. He has' suffered con­ siderably at times since his dis­ charge from the army but not as much as from this attack. His num­ erous friends all sincerely hope this will clear up the trouble and that the treatment he is undergoing will speed up his recovery. His sister Mrs. J. The meet­ ing was in charge of Gladys Stone’s group and opened with the use of hymn 153 followed by the Scripture reading by Nellie Carmichael. A duet was rendered by Misses Lulu Lin­ denfield and Pearl Wood. The 2nd chapter of the Study Book was given by Hazel Woodall followed by hymn 123.
