TAG DAY IN AID OF THE
BLIND
■On Saturday, September, 30th ci
tizens of Exeter will have an oppor
tunity of contributing to the work
for the blind in Huron County. Em
ployment, training, aftercase services
free use of Braille library relief for
the needy blind, visitation of the
sick, Christmas cheer are services of
vital importance to the thirty od#
registered blind cases in the county.
These are services rendered by The
Canadian National Institute for the
Blind.
Not only is the Institute interest
ed in the welfare of the registered
blind persons but preventive and
curative treatment is arranged for
destitute men, women and children
who are in danger of losing their
sight. These activities are supervis
ed by a Huron County Board com
prising business and professional
men and women who give of their
time and service^ voluntary in sup
port of their worthy cause. Mrs. D.
A. Anderson and Mr. S. B. Taylor re
present the interest of Exeter on the
Huron County Board. The Board is
conducting a County wide Tag Day
on Saturday, September 30th. Dozens
of High School students have volun
teered their service in connection
with the tagging, In Exeter a Tag
Day Committee has been formed
comprising Mrs. D, A. Anderson,
Mrs. A. O. Elliot, Mrs. W. E. Walk
er of which Mrs. D, A. Anderson is
Convenor. «
Citizens buying a tug on (Saturday
may do so in the knowledge that the
entire proceeds of the Tag Day are
used and expended on services for
the benefit of blind persons in Hur
on County only. The Committe is
confident that-this appeal will -meet
with the usual generous and hearty
response from the citizens of Exeter.

field meet Monday afernoon. Many
of the events were keenly contested.

be held at Seaforth, Friday after

for the purpose of installing a Steam
Heating System in the School House
of IT.S.S. No. 16 of the Townships of
Stephen and Hay in the County of
Huron and that such By-law was
registered in the Registry Office for
Registry Division of the County of
Huron on the 7th day of September
19'39 at 2.07 o’clock p.tti. in Book
II for By-laws as No. 534. Any
motion to quash or set aside the
same or any part thereof must be
made within three months after the
first publication of this notice and
cannot be made thereafter.
