Mrs. Hugh Dolphin and two dren returned to London Sunday af­ ter visiting last week with Mr. and Mrs. Benson Tuckey. The many friends of Mr. Stephen Powell will regret to know that he is seriously ill at his home. Mr. Powell is in his 89 th year. Holy Week Services sponsored by the South Huron Ministerial Assoc­ iation are being held in Exeter and throughout this community this week. Mr. A. O. Martin, station agent, is confined to his home through ill­ ness. He is being relieved at the station by Mr. Thompson, of Lon- desboro. The business was conducted by the presi­ dent when it was decided to hold a QUilting in the church On April 26th. Mrs, J. McTavish took charge of the program reading ah Easter worship service; scripture reading by Mrs. Witmer; reading by Mrs. Tomlin­ son. Mrs. J. M. Southcott gave the topic from the study book “Learning to fAve Together” in a concise and interesting manner. A short Easter drama “On Life’s Highway” was presented by the group, Mrs. Page took the part of ‘Easter* and others taking part were Misses Celia Chris­ tie, Mary McKaig, Florence Down, Mrs. McTavish, Mrs. T. CodteS, Mrs. Tomlinson and at the close Misss P. Wood sang ‘The Old Rugged Cross.’ Following the benediction lunch was served; Ah Easter Thankoffering was taken amounting to $37.00', Caven Congregational Circle Tho regular meeting of the C.C.C, was held Tuesday afternoon, April 4th in the basement of the church. The meeting, was Opened by the President followed by prayer.
