Locals among honourable mentions at art show
Mentioned honourably
Several artists received an honourable mention at the annual Huron County Art Show last
week. The show is now open and will remain on display until Dec. 22 at the Huron County
Museum in Goderich. Receiving honourable mention were, front row, from left: Michael Wilson

Artists from both Blyth and
Brussels are among the honourable
mentions for this year's Huron
County Art Show.
First prize went to "Lake Huron
Wave: The Edge of Elusive Balance"
by Laura Browne of Zurich, while
second prize was "Between the
Posts" by Elizabeth Van Den Broeck
of Goderich.
Honourable mentions went to
"Steam & Pipes" by Suzanne
Brandon of RR 4 Clinton, "Hunting
Huron" by David Bishop of
Brussels, "Dashwood Smithy" by
Elizabeth Carr of Zurich, "Mazzard
Cherry" by Irene Hartwick of RR 5
Goderich, "Fabricated Refuse" by
Kelly Stevenson of Blyth and
"Spitfire" by Michael Wilson of
Goderich.
New partnership for ESTC
As part of its plans to increase
training availability in Ontario, the
Emergency Services Training Centre
(ESTC) in Blyth is pleased to
announce another exciting
partnership. The ESTC has finalized
an agreement with Georgian
College.
Starting this fall, Georgian
College will begin providing
firefighting training to their Marine
Engineering and Navigation Cadets
in Blyth. Specialized equipment
will be delivered to the ESTC to
enhance their existing burn building

of Canada's most advanced
