John and Pat Gillis have returned from a 10-day trip to the west coast. They flew to Victoria and spent the day on the island and going to Butchart Gardens. They report they are absolutely beautiful. They took the ferry across to Vancouver and boarded the Holland American Cruise ship. They began their Alaskan cruise holiday. They cruised the coast of B.C. to Alaska and stopped at three ports. They saw whales just skimming the surface of the waters, but had no close sightings. They had nice weather although cool and overcast most days. A little sun and a little rain but a nice time. The boat provided great entertainment nightly and they made new friends during their trip. They report a great trip but as always, it’s nice to come home.
