A great big thank you goes out to everyone who had any part in the Brussels Fair Ambassador competition. Nicole Noble and Maggie Speers along with many others put countless hours in making sure the day runs smoothly. With my fellow contestants, we had a fun day as we enjoyed the experience together. My sponsor who was the Brussels Majestic Women’s Institute is a very supportive group towards young people in the community. Thanks to all the businesses of Brussels and surrounding areas for their generous donations. Thank you to the Agricultural Society for continuing the tradition and hosting this event. These selfless volunteers put great effort into our annual fair to make it unique and special. I look forward to this upcoming year and seeing everyone at the 152nd Brussels Fall Fair! – Kabrina Bishop. 33-1 HOUSTON. They say it takes a village to raise a baby, and over the past few months we can definitely attest to this. Emmett’s arrival and journey thus far has been full of ups and downs and we certainly could not have done this without the support and love of our family, friends and community. Many thanks for the food, visits in the hospital, gifts, words of prayer and kind thoughts, assistance with gas money for Darryl and help around the house. Special thanks to the Brussels Optimist Club, Brussels Lions Club and the Wingham Hitmen baseball club for their kind donation towards gas, meals and other expenses. Thank you to the doctors and nurses at Stratford General Hospital, the Ornge transport team, and staff and doctors at Windsor Regional Hospital and the London Health Sciences Centre NICU’s, for making our miracle possible. A huge thanks to Ronald McDonald House of Southwestern Ontario who made it possible for me to stay each and every night in London with Emmett. Thanks to the nurses and support through CCAC to ensure that Emmett could come home safely. There is an endless list of people to thank and we know that this brief note does not cover you all, but please know that we do thank you from the bottom of our hearts. – Darryl, Jodi and Emmett Houston. 33-1 -------------------------------------------- McCLURE.
