JOYCE ESTELLE GILLIES
Joyce Estelle Gillies of Auburn
passed away at her residence on
Monday, May 21, 2013. She was in
her 88th year.
Joyce was the beloved wife of the
late Alexander (1993). She was the
dearly loved mother of Joan and
Emerson Compton, Auburn;
cherished grandmother of April and
Edward and great-grandmother of
Matthew (Alysia), Tiffany,
Randi, Danielle, Alysha, Nytasha,
Eddie Jr. Keegan, Alex and
Nicholas. Joyce was the great-great-
grandmother of Dillon, Matty, Rylen
and Nixon. She is survived by one
brother George, nephew Marston
(Mandy) and niece Estelle, all in
England. Joyce is fondly
remembered by Audrey, Ken,
Melissa and Gloria.
A funeral service was held at the
Trinity Anglican Church, Blyth
on Saturday, May 25. Rev.
Perry Chuipka officiated.
Interment is in Brampton Memorial
Gardens.
Memorial donations to the Trinity
Anglican Church Children’s Camp
would be appreciated as expressions
of sympathy.

Clifford Ross Schultz of RR 3,
Blyth passed away at Seaforth
Community Hospital on Monday,
May 20, 2013. He was in his 75th
year.
Cliff is survived by his brother
Donald of RR 3, Blyth and his aunt
Isabel Schultz of Holmesville. He
will be remembered by many
cousins. He was predeceased by his
parents Reg and Irene and several
aunts and uncles.
Friends and family were invited to
a public graveside service on
Thursday, May 23 at Ball’s
Cemetery, Hullett Township. Pastor
Elwin Garland officiated.

Mrs. Margaret Smith, formerly of
Wingham passed away at Huronlea
Home for the Aged, Brussels on
Friday, May 24, 2013. She was in
her 100th year.
Margaret was the beloved wife of
the late Rev. Thomas Smith (2008),
loving mother of Emily and Ernie
Phillips, RR 2, Blyth; Gwen
McInnes, Brussels and Peter and
Lorie Smith, RR 2, Lakefield. She
was the dear grandmother of Karen
and Bill Glousher, Les and Heather
Phillips, Tracey and Geoff Edgar-
Stubgen, Kelly McInnes and Robyn,
Jessica Smith, Ben Smith and Dana,
Mitch Smith and Andrea and Hilary
Smith and the great-grandmother of
Bryce, Brett, Tyler, Elizabeth, Zack,
Carson, Mia and Grace.
Margaret was the sister of Jean
Fraser of Salmon Arm, B.C. She was
predeceased by brothers Lincoln,
Lindsay and Thomas Black and
sisters Edna Black, Reta Burns,
Evelyn Seebach and Cora Riordan.
Visitation was held at McBurney
Funeral Home Ltd., Wingham on
Monday. The Eastern Star Service
was held on Monday evening. A
celebration of Margaret’s life was
held on her 100th birthday, Tuesday,
May 28 at Wingham United Church.
Rev. Gary Clark officiated.

Council would be appreciated as
