carrying a lighted candle wh-
ich was placed around three
large candles on a white cov-
ered. table, The first scripture
lesson was read by Gail Millet
and the second one •was read
by Margaret Sanderson,
A solo,. "What. Child Is
This?" was sung by Betty
Moss, followed by prayer by
Linda Baechler.
The offering was received by
Linda Lorighurst, Joyce Leath-
erland, Sheron Collins and Pet-
ra Tiecheat, and dedicated by
Marjorie Youngblut, A two-
part chorus was sung 'mac-,
coinpanied by Betty Moss, Br-
enda Dast, Wendy Schneider,
Mary Sanderson, Nan Lapp and
Brenda Bali.
The Christmas meditation,
"For Such A Time As This'",
was read by the leader of the
girls, Mrs. W, Bradnock. The
candlelighting ceremony was
done by Carole Brown, Lynda
Andrews and Jannett Dobie,
followed by prayer by Brigitte
Schliehting.
Rev. R. U, MacLean gave
out the announcements and
pronounced' the benediction.
The girls were assisted by
the assistant leader Miss Laura.
Phillips, and the ushers were
Barbara -Sanderson and Rose
Marie Haggitt and the printed.

Christmas story read by Mrs.
Andrew Kirkconnell. Rev. Rob-
ert Meally led in prayer and
Mrs. Lloyd Humphreys gave
the topic. She chose the story
of Bethlehem down through
the years.
Mrs, Gordon.R. Taylor sang
the solo, "The Story That
Never Grows Old," accompan-
ied on the organ by Mrs. Rob-
ert J. Phillips.
The study book was taken
by Mrs. Thomas Haggitt, on
the people that sit in dark-
ness, telling about the lives of
blind boys and girls.
The birthday hymns were
sung for Mrs. Thomas Haggitt
and Mrs. Donald Cartwright.
Mrs, Gordon R. Taylor was the
organist for the meeting.
The minutes were read by
Mrs. John Daer and the treas-
ures, Mrs. Gordon R. Taylor,
gave the financial statement
for the year. Roll call was
answered by each quoting a
Christmas verse.
The travelling apron was
passed and pennies were. given
for each letter in poinsettia.
It was decided to send Christ-
mas boxes to the shut-ins and
give gifts to pre-school child-
ren.
Mrs. Donald 0-rtwright gave
her commission for selling
cards to the Guild and it, along
with the offering, was sent for
CARE parcels.
Rev. Robert Meally then pre-
sided for the election of of-
ficers, He thanked the ladies
for their excellent work dur-
ing the past year and installed
the officers for the coming
year after the election took
place.

dent, Mrs. Lloyd Humphreys;
secretary, Mrs. John Daer; tr-
easurer, Mrs. Gordon R. Tay-

Margaret Huisser, Seaforth,
and the late Fred' Huisser, re-
ceived his BA degree at the
recent fall convocation 'at Mc,
Master University,
A former resident of Sea-
forth, he attended school there
and in Clinton, and in 1950 gr-
aduated, from Stratford Teach-
ers' College,
After teaching at USS No,
9, Hay and Stanley, he was
on 'the staff - of the Clinton
Public School for eight years.
In 1959 he moved to Whitby
Where he teaches at Colborne
Street Senior Public School,
His wife is the former Marie
Stirling, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Leslie Stirling, Hayfield.
They have three children.

were attended by his family,
his mother, Mrs. Margaret Hui-
ser, Seaforth, and by Mr. and
Mrs. Richard 'Russell, Fort

mas message. He stressed a
more sincere observance of His
birthday and told the ladies
.that Christ was knocking at
the door of every Christian at
this Christmas season.
Mrs. Ed Davies thanked Dr,
Lane for his Christmas Mess-
age.
Mrs. Donald Haines, past
president, was in charge of the
election of officers for the
coming year. The nominating
committee, composed of Mrs.
Wes Bradnock, Mrs; John Gra-
ham and mrs. Alfred
son, brought in the slate of
officers. These were accepted
as read.
