AUBURN — Lighted candel-
abra and bouquets of yellow
chrysanthemums made a love-
ly setting in St. George's An-
glican Church, Goderich, when
Carolynn Ruth Sprung and
Bruce Edward Vincent of Galt,
exchanged wedding Vows in a
double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the elder daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs, John
Sprung, RR 2, Auburn, and the
groom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs, Edward Vincent of Gode-
rich. Rev. C. G. Russell offici-
ated.
Traditional wedding music
was played by the organist,
Mr. Kempster who accompanied
the soloist, Mrs, Emmerson
Rodger, RR 2 Auburn when she
sang "0 Perfect Love" and
"Wedding Prayer".
Given in marriage by her
father the bride chose a floor-
length gown of white imported
Italian lace. Her three-tiered
sheath skirt with scalloped
edges had a lace bodice with a
sabrina neckline and long lily-
point sleeves. Her long chapel
train was held by a matching
bow to her shoulders and her
three-tiered shoulder veil of
nylon silk illusion was held in
place by a crown of pearls and
aurora borealis matching the
trim on the bodice neckline of
her dress. She carried a white
Bible crested with red talisman
roses with streamers holding
tiny matching rose buds,
The maid of honor was Miss
Linda Wilson of Kincardine and
the bridesmaids were Miss
Marie Elliott, Seaforth; Miss
Peggie Ellis, Camp Borden;
Miss Diane Vincent, Goderich,
sister of the groom, and the
junior bridesmaid, Miss Mel-
anie Sprung, Auburn, sister of
the bride.
They were gowned alike in
sheath floor-length dresses with
semi-empire waistlines of leaf
green faille and an emerald
green silk velvet bodice with
leaf green embroidered leaves
around the hipline. A match-
ing velvet circlet held their
net veils in place and they all
Carried crescent bouquets of
bronze 'mums.
The best man was Donald
Mallough of Goderich and the
ushers were Larry McCormack,
Goderich, and Allan and Leon
Sprung, Auburn, brothers of
the bride. The ring-bearer was
Lindsay Griffiths, Goderich,
nephew of the groom.
Following the ceremony a
reception took place in 'the Au-
burn 'Community Memorial Hall
where the guests' were received
by the bridal couple assisted
by her mother wearing an em-
bossed taffeta brown ,tones on
beige sheath dregs, brown ac-
cessories and a copper shaded
carnation corsage. She Wes as-
sisted by the groom's Mother
weering two-piece silver lam-
inated blue dress, black acres=
Series and a pink and white
carnation corsage.
The (linnet' was served by a
'unit from the Knox United
Church Women. The bride's
table was centred With a flow-
dr arrangement Wirer from
England and the three-tiered
wedding cake eoinpleted the
Setting.

Genrie and his attractive wife
Vivian have a good eye for
authentic examples of early
Canadian Artifacts. Gerrie is
extremely handy with wood
working tools and spends many
of his leisure hours refuebish-
ing antiques that he has col-
lected from the local area.
A recent issue of MacLean's
Magazine- featured an attract-
ive ceiling lamp restored by the
Smiths. A picture of the lamp
that appeared in MacLean's
was noticed by a 'fellow collec-
tor in Western Canada, and a
missing portion -of the lamp
sent to F/L Smith to complete
the lamp in its original for-
mat.

Falls the bride donned a yel-
low wool boucle suit with yel-
low fox collar, brown accessor-
ies and a corsage of yellow
talisman roses. On their return
they will make their home in
Gait.
Prior to her marriage the
bride was honoured by a corn-
munity shower in the Westfield
School and another at her
aunt's, Mrs. Donald Sprung.
Mrs. Donald Mallough and Mrs.
Alec Mallough of Goderich
were co-hostesses at a miscel-
laneous shower and a shower
was held' at the home of Mrs.
Walter Gottschalk of Goderich.

Group Meets
AUBURN—The Auburn CGIT
met in the Sunday school room
of the Knox Presbyterian
Church with the new president,
Betty Moss giving the call to
worship.
The scripture lesson was read
by Shelley Grange. Ruth Bare
called the roll.
Miss Jane Doran conducted a
Bible quiz and drill on" where
bees and honey are found in
the Bible. Mrs, Bradnock in-
troduced the new study book,
"Called To Be" and spoke on
the chapter "Called To Be The
Body of Christ".
Final plans were made for
the Hallowe'en panty next Tues-
day night when each girl will
invite a friend.
Two new girls, Donna Beech-
er and Linda Sproul, were wel-
comed Into the group by the
leader.
Auburn Women's Institute Plans

AUBURN — The October
meeting of the Auburn Wo-
men's Institute was held in the
Community Memorial Hall with
the president, Mrs. Donald
Haines in charge,
It was announced that any-
one wanting to take the Kings-
ville trip with the )31yth ladies
should contact their secretary
immediately.
A letter was read from the
Ontario Hospital at Goderich
asking to fill a Christmas
stocking for a patient there and
Mrs. Rey Easom and Mrs. Colin
laird were natned a committee
to fill this stocking With the
Items named, Any donations
Will be gratefully received.
It was decided to again do-
nate $111 to the CNIB. Mrs.
Donald Haines was appointed
delegate to the London Area
convention being held at Strat-
ford at the Victorian Inn en
Noveniber 2 and 3. Mrs. Prank
Ealthby was appointed her al-
ternate.
Plans were made 'to cater to
the County banquet on October
28 and 'the cornmittee is to etie
range for this dinner, /n charge
