Job at Station
On Wednesday, October 6,
Charles Snelling received
his Certificate of Merit from
Group Captain K. R, Green-
away CD, -Commanding Of-
ficer, RCAF Clinton.
Mr. Snelling is .retiring
from service at the busy
training base after ten years
employment in the Airmen's
Mess, Ile was born in Perth
County, but spent most of
his life in Stanley Township.

Held At Walton

held in WaltonCommunity Hall
Monday, October 4 with 114
women representing three dis-
tricts, West, East and South
Huron.
During the dinner hetir an

of the year proved interesting.
At the afternoon session, Mrs.
A. Higginboth.am led. the de-
votional period and the pre-
sentation of the scholarship was
made to Mrs. Proctor for her
daughter Joyce, who is taking
a general arts course at Wes-
tern University.
Mrs. Maureen Barry, Ontario
Department of Transport, Tor-
onto, spoke on "Safety With
People" illustrated with the
film "Emergencies in the Mak-
ing".
An invitation to West Huron
for 1966 was accepted.

Gave $100 To Fund
In the list of donations to
the Cenotaph Fund which al?,
peared in the Clinton News-
Record dated September, 30, it
was mistakenly reported that
the Legion Auxiliary donated
$10 to the project. The amount
should have been $100. -
There will be no wicket
service on Thanksgiving Day,
October 11, and the Post
Office Lobby will be closed
all day, slays A. E. Ball,
Postmaster.
There will be no rural route
service but street letter box
collections will be made is
usual.
The outgoing mail will be
despatched at 6:45 p.m.
