Hi them!
Sorry about last week's not-
ice. The Mojos DID break up as
a group last Saturday night.
They played at the Bayfield
Pavilion on Friday night and
on Saturday night at the Har,-
bourlite Inn, Bud sang his final
"High ,Blo!od Pressure" as •a
Moja. Randy banged out his
last "lVfoja Main", and Brian is
about to trade in his "Mojo
'guitar" for a look at "California
Girls". All in all, it was a very
sad affair.
For the last couple of years
the Mojos have been, one of
the most popular groups in
this part of Ontario. They have
played all around Western Ont-
ario, and even talked about
trying for Toronto.
Not too many people realize
it, but to be part in a small
band, such as the :Mojos, you
have to devote an awful lot of
time to entertaining others.
If you really work at building
a reputation in the beginning,
then, you can join the music-
ian's union. After that the
group you belong to is usually
handled by a booking agent;
the ones for this area being in
Goderldh. and Stratford. You
are told when you are needed
to play for a dance and where.
Many groups prefer to work
from week to week. They get
their own bookings from the
owner's of the dantetralls where
they usually work. It is quite
a big deal, almost a racket!
And now, we've lost one of •
the best. Of course, there's still
the Del Reys, the Concords,
the (bevels, the Oak-Piles and
so on', but never again will
there be a group like the Mojos.
Never again will a teen audi-
ence be blessed with hearing
the voice of Bud Maibon, backed
by the rest of the boys, as he

Unique Growth
In Vegetables
William Cochrane, Mary St.,
found a 'unique potato growth
'in his garden this week,
A new potato has grown in-
side an old !potato and split it
partially open, Now it appears
that another potato has grown
'from the original new potato
. . . surely a rare specimen
of vegetation.
Another gardener, Elmer
Johnston, who' lives on Base
Line Road, north of town, has
many cabbages this year with
four to, six heads all from the
same roots.
