Last Saturday morning at
the Clinton,Coininity Park
.Clinton Midgets evened - their
series with Lambeth defeating
the visitors by a .9-2 score.
Clinton came -tip with six big
runs in the bottom Of the eighth.

back to back doubles by Davis
and, Thomas. Clinton. took the
lead in. the. fifth as Larry Pick-
ett singled, stole second and
scored on an error.
'Clinton actually sewed up the
game in their half of the eighth,
Butch Fleet walked with one
out; Howes followed • with a
walk. Doh Bartlift _singled;
loading the- 'bases; Larry Pick-
ett followed with a bases-load-
ed walk. Bruce Scheenhais beat
out an' infield • single for an-
other run. John Irwin Was safe
on an error, driving in two
more runs and the final run
came home on a fielders'
choice..

Church began with the regular
monthly meeting in the new
Fellowship Hall last- Thursday
afternoon with on attendance
of - twenty-five. • Mrs. Laird.
MiCkle and Mrs. Sim Roobol
and their group were in, charge.
The devotion on Hospitality
was given by Mrs. Albert Alex-
ander and Miss M. Ellis gave
the study. on Brazil.
Brazil takes in over half of
South America , and half the
people 'are hungry all the time.
Miss Ellis told bow the Protes-
tant religibn came to Brazil
and -the part the United Church
is taking at the present. time.
She said the average life span
of a, Brazilian is 43 years.
Mrs. James McAllister took
the chair for the business. The
visitation committee for July
and August included all the
members and each one report-
ed: The general meeting will be
held September 27 and will
commence with a pot luck sup-
per starting at 6:30. pat, with
unit 1- in 'charge.
The offiCial opening of the
new Christian Education' Redid-
ing is Scheduled for Sunday,
September 19 at 3 p.m. Mrs.
Welter Spencer and Mrs. Lorne

representatives from each unit

Dairy Princess
Crown To Peel
Ruth McKinney, a 17-year-
old Grade 13 student at Erin
District High School in. Peel
County was named Ontario's
'Dairy Princess at the contest
staged at the CIE in Toronto.
Miss McKinney, who has
hopes of becoming a diplomat,
won 'a three-week jaunt to
Europe where she will "repre-
sent the Ontario, dairy industry
alt several fall fair functions.

Food, Servicesat RCAF Station
Clinton, Ontario. In a gradu-
ating class of 12 students Ray-
Mond received the highest in-
dividual average after six weeks
of basic training on a Food
'Service Attendant Course.
Aircraftman Harqealil, 19
years old, whose home is Fred-
ericton, New Brunswick, enroll-
ed in the Royal Canadian Air
Force in March 1965: Prior to
his basic training at the School
of Food Services, AC Hare-
quail served at RCAF Station
