HomeMy WebLinkAboutClinton News-Record, 1965-07-29, Page 3• summertime COCOANUT PEACH SALAD')5: our Pfa7tY fam or your 2 boxes of lemon gelatin 1 cup dessicated cocoanut 1 sheet tinfoil RECIPE OF THE MONTH By the ButarloTenfier Fruit Institute "Buy C.Utiada'Choil6e Carina Fruit" 2 tins Canada Choice peach halves (buy your favourite brand of Ontario-produced peaohes1) 1/2 package bream' cheese (white) 1 bunch watercress (or other greens for garnishing) Dissolve gelatin in one cup of hot, water and pOUr into cake tin• (glass or Alumintm), Sprinkle 1/2 OUP of cocoa-nut into gelatih. Divide tin foil in 4 strips and fold stiff to use dividers for 9 equal square servings of jelly. Leave jellin refrigerator until slightly set. Fill 9 peach halveg with white , cream cheese and place one in each square (flat aide down). Held hi place with toothpicks. Cut the rest of the peaches ,and add tome to each square. DissolVe second box of gelatin in one etip .of cold water and pour slowly into mould. Sprinkle remaining Cocoanut over all, chili thoroughly. UnMolcl •refnciVe tinfoil diViders carefully.
