Mr. Steep wrote 14 papers in each of the two winter correspondence courses he took, and a final examine, ten last summer and one again this summer when he 'attended the month-long ses- sions at the University of Manitoba._ Mr. Steep 'began his career as a secretary-treasurer at Clinton 'hospital in February of 1960, and has the &Stint-- ton of being the fhlst admin- istrator here who was not a professional. 0 From 1958 to 1964 public spending in Canada -on element- ary and secondary education rose from $956 million to $2,- 049 million. He has two son's and one daughter and plans to retire to Brumfield where his wife operates a gen- eral Store.
