Clinton Inter-Church CGIT held their last meeting in the form of a rnothetacianghter banquet in -Wesley-Will* Unit- ed church hall, SiXty. people including CGIT members and their mothers, leaders and. members of the inter-Church sponsering cornm' ittee were pre- sent. Each mother was presented. with :a flower corsage by her daughter, Guest soloist was Lyle Steepe accompanied by Mrs. Willis VanEgmond who also conducted a sing-song. The toast to the mothers was made by Bonnie EdWards with reply by Mrs. Jolin Fisber. Mrs: Gordon Rathvell proposed a Vast to CGIT with re'piy by June Falconer. A yellow rose, was presented to Mrs, Fisher Who had attend- ed three meetings and conduc- ted an interesting craft project. Guest speaker. was -Mrs. D. B. Palmer who showed slides of her recent trip to Trinidad'. Bayfield Lions Name Leroy Poth New President HAYFIELD — On Tuesday; May 11, the Bay-field Lions • Club held their regular dinner meeting at Cedar Grove. The slate of Officers for ,the 1965-1966 term is' as follows: president, Leroy Poth; first vice-president, Lloyd ,Makins.; second vice-president. Wilbur Fa-Wick; third vice-president, Pete Peterson, directors, George Mayors, Maurice Lavelle, Bert eckert; Ernie Hovey; tail twis- tee, Jack Scotchmer; Lion tam- er, Lloyd Scotchmer; song lead- ers, Harry Baker and Ernie -Hovey; secretary; Charles Scot- sinner; treasurer, Les Elliott. Guest' speaker at the meeting Was C. H. Epps, Clinton, Who spoke on the decreasing number of edible fish in Lake Huron waters caused by large num- bers of predatory fish, notably carp and suckers. Following a most interesting talk, Mr. Epps held the atten- tion of the Lions with some excellent slides photographed during fish and moose hunting trips in the north.
