In passing hits judgement,
Magistrate Hays said, "I'm
not asking you for any answecrs.
but if you got it at the. Liquor
Store, you signed a false declar-
ation. I thinkit was, pretty bald
.. . pretty bold;."
"This goes on your record,,,,
Magistrate Hays continued,
"Tire next this will be a third
offence. So idon't come back or
there will be a fine you might
have a great deal of difficulty
to raise."
Bayfield Man Fined
Fifty-four year old Walter
1Vfiidhael Green, Bayfield, was.
fined' $50 and costs and had
his drivers license suspended for
'three months after he had
pleaded guilty to a charge of
impaired driving is Clinton. an
May 1.
A police report showed that
Green was . highly intoxicated
when he was picked up. He re-
mained in jail overnight and
was released on $500 bail,
When asked by Magistrate
Hays if there was: any reason
for this (first offence, Green re-
plied, "I was in the wrong,
that's all, r knew' I Shouldn't
have been doling at but I was."
"Do remember this," warned
the Magistrate, "Don't drive
until you get your license back.
Don't make the mistake of
counting three months from to-
day and then figure you' can
drive. You can't. It may take a
little longer than three months
to get your license back in
your possession."

Festival Meeting
Nine girls and two leaders
from St. Paul's Anglican Chur-
eh attended the Girl's' Auxiliary
Festival for the Northern Area
at Holy Trinity Church, Kit-
chener, .last Saturday.
The day's activities comanenc-
ed with a service of Holy Corn-
rmmion, +foallawea by the presen-
tation of Honour Rings.
During the .Iundh period, the
girls were entertained by the
Country Squires who sang a
number of folk songs. There
was' also a `'display of •knitting
and sewing for competition,
won by St. Paul's,, Stratford. -
An interesting talk on voca-
tions was very much enjoyed,
the speaker stressed physio and
occupational +t herarpy and the
need for more people to train
for )this work.

Club was held on Thursday,
April 15 in the Ontario Depart-
ment of Agriculture Board

The officers elected are as

Riley; secretary, Wencly Fear,
press reporter, Bonnie Stewart.
The 4-H Swine Club leaders
are Den Dodds, Allan Haugh,,
and Iden Popple.
Huron Numismatic Club Observes
National Coin Week By Display Night

County ,Nurnismat c Club was
head April 29 in St Joseph's
Parish Hall, Clinton. To cele -
brute national coin week, the
club held a display night for
the members.
There Were live display cate-
gories for members to enter and
the winners of each category
received! an appropriate prize.

Ooiris, Ed Fielding.; Paper
Money, jean Stadleman; For-
eign Coins, Don Folks; Miscel-
laneous, Caal Radford,' and
Best In The, Show, Don Folks,
For "Best in the Shaw", Don
Folks will now hold the Pat

olub'.s prize trophy for Winners
of displays within the club.
A presentation of "a long -
needed gavel" was made by
Jahn Fisher to the president,
