the roll call was answered by
each member telling a news'
item of the day.
The guest speaker of the af-
terxiaon, was the district Presi-
dent, Mrs. Donald Riehl of God-
eriCh. She was introduced by
Mrs. Wes Bradneck.
Mrs, Mehl gave an interest-
ing address, "You and Your
Organization", and gave the
highlights of 'the Women's In-
Stitue projects throughout the
district and province.. She was
'thanked by Mrs. Donald Haines
who presented her with a gift.

ficers for the new year, They

Craig; President, Mrs. Donald

Church decorated with Easter
lilies and candles made an at-
tractive setting last week for
the marriage of Dorothy Marie
Joyce Hallam and Tames Ed-
ward Schneider, Auburn:
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. 'and Mrs, Charles Hallam
and the groom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. George Schneider, RR
1, Auburn. Rear.' H, W. Struff
performed the ceremony and
Mrs, Ross Cummings was the
organiSt.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a floor-
length gown of silk organza
with a scoop neckline 'and lily-
point sleeves on moulded bodice.
The bouffant skirt was enhan-
ced with appliqued gliipre lace
'and fell into a chapel train, The
centre back had a self organza,
rose falling into swirling strea-
mers. Her elbow-length veil of
silk illusion with lace edge was
held by a crown of wax florets.
She carried a white Bible crest-
ed with red roses and Stream-
ers.
The bridesmaids were Miss
Ruth Schneider, RR 1, Auburn,
sister of the groom, and Miss
Beth Hallam, Lucknow, sister
of the bride, Both were dressed
in maize silk organza street-
length dresses and wore White
accessories, They carried pink
and white carnations in cascade
style.
Len Bakelaar, Aubtirn, was
the best mart, and the Ushers
were Ross and Cecil Hallam,
brothers Of the bride.
The wedding dinner was
served in Lucknow United
Church parlour. The bride'S
mother received guests in a
two4ece figured blue silk suit,
She was assisted by the' groorh's
Mother wearing a two-piece
dressi: of blue silk and net.
For travelling the bride chose
a bronze organza dress with
dark brown accessories, After
a short honeymoon the young
Couple took up residenee on
King St. in Auburn. The bride
is taking a nurse's aid course
at the Ontario Hospital, Gude-
rieh,

for LAC Lunney as he has spent
11 years in the Clinton-Cen-
tralia Area:
WO1 G, A. Donaldson, re-
cently retired front 'the RCAF,
attended. He has settled in Lon-
don.
S/L Wood, the Senior Ac-
counts Officer will be saying
goodbye soon on his own behalf;
as he has been notified of a:
transfer overseas to' No. 1
Wing, France.

Located at 15 Albert Street,
next •to Anstett's jewellery
store, the,. shop has been oiler=
sited by 'Tames Lockwood since
19E0.. Before that, his .. father,
the late Charles Loelcwood had
owned the business since 1932..
Mr. Dittman has been one of
the barbers at RCAF 'Station
Clinton for - the past four years.
He first came to the Clinton
district seven years ago. He
has always worked at the bar-
bering and hair dres'sing boa-
The new manager is having
a telephone installed and will
take appointments for hair cut-
ting at a time suitable to the
citstomer. Transient and off-
the-street business is also very
much welcomed, but -appoint,'"
meat times will be honoured
first. Mr.' Littman thinks -this
is the first time in town that
appointments can 'be made for
'barbering.
