annual meeting of Kippen East
Women's Institute was held in
the Legion Hall, Hensall, on
last Wednesday with Mrs. Ross
Br6adfoot and Mrs. Wm. Kyle
as hostesses.
The president, Mrs. Venn Al-
clerdice, chaired the annual
meeting dealing with the re-
ports of the president, the see-
r et ary , Mrs. Kyle, and the trea-
surer, Mrs. Robt. Bell. The aud-
itors report was given by Mrs.
Ernest Whitehouse, and the
standing committees reports
were heard as well.
Mrs. Jas. Drummond gave the
Sunshine Fund report; Mrs.
Alex McGregor gave the sewing
report and the Curators report;
and Mrs. Ken McKay reported
on resolutions.

officers as presented by the
nominating committee,

bride wore a floor lei th gown
of misty nylon over Satin and

Applique accented the shallow
scoop neckline on the bodice
and the front of the controlled
eleirt, highlighted by a large
bow at black w'a'ist. Her shoul-
der length veil was -held by a
crown of lace, sequins and
pearls, and she carried a cals;-
eade of pink delight roses and •
ivy.
Matron of honor, Mrs. Ross
(Donna) Corbett, RJR 1 Exeter,
wore a street length gown of
Copen. Blue organza over taf-
feta, styled with a shallow
scoop neckline accented at the
back by a how and flowing Panel.
She wore a matching wedding
ring headpiece.
Bridesmaids, Miss Gail Sang-
ster and Miss Marion Schroeder,
Heriselle, were gowned identical
to the matron of honor. The
attendants all carried cascades
of pink carnations.
Lloyd -Holland, New Ham-.
burg,. was his brother's grooms-
man, and :Ross ,Ccalbett and
Brian Turner ushered guests.
The wedding reception was
held in- the Church Parlours,
the beicle'e mother receiving
guests in an ivory lace ensem-
ble, turquoise accessories and a
corsage of pink roses and feath-
ered carnations,
The groom's mother chose a
navy blue dress with navy and
pink accessories and a corsage
of pink carnations.
A three-tiered wedding cake
and candles centred the bride's
table, and decorations consisted
of pink and white sweetpeas,
For travelling, the bride don-
pied a pink suit with accessories
in pink and black,
The young couple will reside
in Clinton.

from the RCAF Station Clinton
"Lads & Lassies" Square Dance
Club attended the first Spring
Jamboree - at Legion .Hall, Ex-
eter, Thursday, April 22.
Youthful enthusiasts, num-
bering 250, swung their partners
in the social affair hosted by.
Exeter Junior PromenadeM.
Corporal and Mrs. Earl Bowles;
instructors of the Lads & Las-
sies were much, un evidence.
Earl is the president of the
South Western Ontario Junior
Square Dance Association, and
reports that young dancers at-
tended from London, Wood-
stock, Centralia, Hensall,
Anse, Craig and Byron.
There were 150 adults present
to admire the dancers and to
provide transportation.
Earl says it is the first time
these youngsters have met as
a group to dance together, and
make friends through a hobby
common to each,

Area Delegate, Mrs. Verne Al-
derdice.
Mrs. Robert Bell conducted a
contest and lunch was served by
the hostesses assisted by Mm,

last Tuesday evening.
