Earl Switzer
Died Last Week
Earl Frederick M. Switzer, a
former Goderich Township far-
mer who had lived in Clinton
for the past six months, passed
away in London's Victoria Hos-
pital on Monday, March 22, 19-
65 in his 69th year,
He was born on Concession 6
of Goclerieh Township Sept. 15,
1896, the son of James Switzer
and Susannah Powell. In 1919,
he married Mabel Foster who
survives. He was a member of
Bayfield Baptist Church.
Other survivors include four
sons, Merrill and Willis, both of
Bayfield, Douglas of Nova Sco-
tia and Bruce of London; and
one sister, Eliza (Mrs. George.
Lindt'ay) Bayfield. A daughter,
Eva, predeceased him in 1963.
Rev. Bruce Eaton, Bayfield,
and Rev. Ivor Bodenham, Hen-
sall, officiated at the funeral
service from the Ball and Mitch
Funeral Home in Clinton on
Thursday, March 25. Interment
was in Bayfield Cemetery.
Nephews John Lindsay,
Brown. Lindsay, Kenneth. Har-
rison, Eric Switzer, Keith Stir-
ling and Garnet Black, were
pallbearers. Fiowerbearens were
Alex Hyde and John Keyes.
Friends and • relatives from
Fort Erie, Guelph, London, God-
erich, Brantford, Paris, Sarnia
and Halifax, Nova Scotia at-
tended the funeral service.

Dr, and Mrs. A. Hill and
family, Peterboro, were week-
end guests with the forneer's
aunt, Mrs. W. S. R. Holmes. Mr.
and Mrs. R. Carnegie and Rick,
London, were also guests.
Mrs. Fred Thompson and Mrs,
John Huller left Tuesday for
Vancouver to attend the funeral
of their brother-in-law, Ben W.
Brooks,
Mrs. William Shaddiok has re-
turned from Sarnia, where she
attended the christening of her
granddaughter, Judith Ann Ma-
caulay on Sunday, March 21.
Mr, and Mrs. J. D. Thorndike,
accompanied by Mrs. A. L. Bod-
ges, spent the weekend in Kit-
chener, where Mr. Thorndilce .at-
tended the Spring Rally of Dis-
trict "C'', Royal Canadian Le-
gion.
