church parlour. Mrs. Arthur
Aiken and her group were in
charge of the meeting; assisting
in the devotion were Mrs-. G.
Dennis and Mrs. Carl McClin-

Mrs. Jack Irwin welcomed the
members and guests.
The CGIT are holding their
50th anniversary at the Wesley-
Willis church. The' World Day
of Prayer will be held March 5
at the RCAF Station protestant
chapel.

RCAF Bonspiel
Sixteen teams entered the In-
vitational Bonspiel held at RC-
AF Clinton east Friday and
Saturday, February 19 and 20.
The overall winner of the e-
vent was a rink skipped by LAC
M. C. Cherlet with members,
Flight Sgt. J. J. R. Brochu,
Cpl. E. L. Mullaney and Flight
Sgt. F. J. Wildish.
Teams from Clinton town,
Goderich, Seaforth and RCAF
Centralia took' part in, the bon-
spiel which was organized under
the 'direction of Warrant Officer
Tom Emile,
Group .Captain K. R. Green-
away, Commanding Officer RC-
AF Clinton 'presented the Win-
ning team with, trophies and
prizes at a social held after-
Wards in the new lounge.
The town of Clinton teams
were skipped by E. Beecher
Menzies, Ken nett and Garnet
Crowe.

the home of Mrs. H. C. Mc-
Connell, on Wednesday, Febru-
ary 17 in honour of Mn. Blilh
Wickware. Twelve guests were,
in attendance and the group
presented Mrs. Wickware with
a lazy-susan.

raine Deveau the new "Queen"
of the students at CHSS.
The annuli father and son
banquet for Cubs and Scouts
will be 'held on February 28 at
the airinen'S mess. On February
22, Guides and Brovenies, Scouts
and Cubs were seen in full me-
iform to mark the birthday of
Lady Baden Powell.

marriage by her father, wore a
silk double-knit suit in a shade
of delicate pink, and a corsage
of sweetheart roses. Arlene Gra-
ham as bridesmaid wore a Mo-
hair Boucle suit in turquoise
with a 'white ,corsage of roses:
Norm Gladstone of Calgary
acted as groomsmen.
Following the ceremony -a re-
ception, was held at the home of
the, bride's parents. The guests
were received by the bride's
mother, wearing a suit in spring
green, and white carnation cor-
sage. ,
After a wedding trip to Cal-
gary and Banff the young cou-
ple took up residence in Regina,
where the groom is , on contract
with the Saskatchewan Rough-
riders' professional football
team, and the bride is contin-
uing her studies, at the Uni-
versity.
Several surprise events were
arranged in honour of the bride
When she received gifts for her
home. Group gifts were present-
ed by friends. in her classes at
the University Campus, Saska-
toon.
At a mother and . daughter
gathering Nancy received a
group gift. Mi'ss'es Arlene Gra-.
ham and Lorraine Fleming were
co-hostesses at a miscellaneous
shower.
A cup and saucer and a linen
shower were arranged by Mar-
ilyn Reid and Helen McMillan.
The McMillan home was uniqu-
ely decorated in green and
white,' the Roughriders colours.
A miniature football and a. play-
er centred, the tea table and
green candles formedthe goal-
posts. The bride was seated in
the "touchdown!' chair and. the
first; gift was presented in a
Roughrider helmet. Debbie Reid
and Elaine Maxymyshyn
brought in the gifts and assisted
in serving the guests.

Dessert Euchre
On Wednesday, February 17,
the LOBA lodge me/ethers held
a dessert euchre. The guests
Were welcomed by Mrs. Clayton
Hodgins and Mrs.
The dessert of angel -food
cake and ice cream was served
by the members. A door prize
was won by Mrs. Robert Cook
of Godes-ilea. and a draw was
won by Mrs. Heard of Clinton.

for euchre, prizes going to Mrs,
Alex MoMichael for ledies' hi •
